I just wanted to take some time to write & reflect on this awesome non profit movement- TWLOHA & their awesome vision. I love the video below: individuals express how the stigma of depression, addiction, or any mental health struggles can really prevent people from getting help. This group exists to share with you the vision that you're not alone. This stigma must be broken. Just as people struggle with diabetes or asthma, those with mental health struggles are no different, you were born this way. It is so strange, our world. That mental health has this stigma. To Write Love on Her Arms's vision is that collective community and hope can replace secrets and silence. The vision is that you were created to love and be loved, and that your life matters so much! The vision is to reduce the suicide rate. The vision is hope & that hope is real. You should never have to feel like your on your own. TWLOHA exists to promote finding help and treatment for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. If you know anyone suffering from any of these, tell them about this movement. Your life is worth fighting for.
